Fuga di Sapori

Fuga di Sapori is a project promoting Prison and Circular Economy born in the Penal Institutes of Alessandria to make known and appreciated "the Good that comes from the jail".

In our store, you may find many of our branded products, results of the collaboration between social cooperatives active in different Italian prisons with small artisan producers.

Craft beers lovers can taste "La Sbirra" a pale beer flavored with the peel of oranges processed in the Syracuse prison; “La Skizzata” an amber beer flavored with chamomile in flower heads from the Pozzuoli Women's Prison and “La Rubentjna” a coppery beer produced with hops from the Turin prison.

Those having a sweet tooth can find "Il Maskalzone" the seasonal panettone prepared following the traditional Milanese recipe with candied fruit processed in the Syracuse prison, mother yeast, raisins melted in Moscato d'Asti, fresh eggs and butter ... it’s a crime not tasting it.

Goodness has no boundaries, under this motto “La Brigantella” was conceived, our chocolate coffee spreadable cream; an artisanal product without added vegetable fats and with 100% Arabica blend coffee roasted in the Pozzuoli Women's Prison. For each sold item, 1 euro is donated to Fondazione SOLIDAL which supports medical/scientific research projects for Alessandria Hospital.

However, we do not just want to entice you with gastronomic products…we are much more than this. Here you can find gadgets made by inmates involved in "SocialWood" project, our carpentry active inside and outside the prison of Alessandria where we employ inmates to give back their dignity and autonomy. All SocialWood brand products are made in line with the principles of recovery, reuse and zero impact.

The sale of "Fuga di Sapori" products is 100% solidarity: the raised funds will support job placements of disadvantaged people, prisoners and ex-prisoners as we believe in the importance of creating jobs both inside and outside the prison walls to reduce recidivism and promote social inclusion.
